Chlorosilanes are extremely reactive compounds and contact with moisture will cause generation of hydrochloric acid gas. Always wear protective gear such as rubber gloves and goggles to prevent contact with the skin and eyes. In case of contact with skin or mucous membranes, wash thoroughly with water and consult a physician immediately. Take care to ensure adequate ventilation to prevent breathing of vapors.
